Role Overview:

The Sr. Technical Manager - Application Development will lead the technical team in designing and implementing innovative solutions that deliver best-in-class client experience, enhance operational efficiency, and drive data-driven decision-making across multiple business lines at SE Health. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams, as well as managing the technical Salesforce delivery team, which you will play an essential role in building. Your experience in designing Salesforce Health, Service, Sales, and Experience Cloud solutions. Knowledge of other technologies like data warehousing, Enterprise Service Bus, cloud platforms, and mobile-first applications will be a key to your success.

Location: This role is hybrid and may require travel to our Markham office as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in Salesforce implementation activities with Salesforce professional services including design workshops, technical architecture workshops, SCRUM ceremonies, testing, training, and roll-out.
  • Manage client expectations with the ability to negotiate solutions to sophisticated problems
  • Work with the Sr. Director, Digital Transformation and CTO to design the long-term vision of the Salesforce Portfolio team.
  • Lead a team of technical contributors including Salesforce Developers, Salesforce Admins, Dev/Ops Lead, and QAs.
  • Support hiring and orientation/training of new team members.
  • Develop and execute the technical Salesforce strategy and roadmap in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Lead the development lifecycle and customization of Salesforce Health Cloud, including patient management, scheduling, and care coordination functionalities with a privacy and security first approach.
  • Oversee the configuration and customization of the Salesforce Field Services app based on business requirements.
  • Conduct design review and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team on design and data strategies.
  • Ensure architecture and design principles and best practices are adhered to during the design, development and implementation of solutions.
  • Lead and/or support the development of standards, best practices, and methodologies aligned to delivering business capabilities.
  • Support architecture for large-scale Patient Support Programs (PSPs), including the patient journey, patient case management, and patient engagement
  • Define and rollout DevSecOps processes to manage development activities.
  • Stay up to date with relevant Salesforce credentials and platform innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect (required)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience people management experience, and leading small to large teams (required)
  • Certifications:

    - Salesforce Technical OR System Architect Certification (Nice to have)
    - Salesforce Application Architect Certification (Required)
    - Salesforce Certified Administrator (Required)
    - Salesforce Data Architect Certification (Nice to have)
    - Salesforce Development Lifecycle and Deployment Certification (Nice to have)
    - Salesforce Integration Architect (Nice to have)
    - TOGAF (Nice to have)
    - Certified DevOps Engineer (Nice to have)

  • Previous consulting experience preferred, inclusive of a client facing role
  • Previous experience with mobile app development
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party tools using native integrations as well as ESB (Mulesoft/Boomi)
  • Experience with Workday is nice to have
  • Familiarity with FHIR standards and how to apply them in a Salesforce context (required)
  • Strong understanding and ability to clearly explain integration concepts including APIs, and third-party IDM solutions
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management and integration with other platforms
  • Good understanding of data quality, governance and architecture concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in applying Agile methodologies and change management principles to support ongoing platform updates and deployments.
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving business needs, support iterative release processes, and facilitate successful change while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Experience with declarative development in Salesforce (workflow rules, Process Builder, Lightning Flow
  • Proven experience with security, privacy and access controls within Salesforce
  • Skilled at time management
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
