Code the Future of Digital Marketing
As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will help build and enhance Home Hardware's marketing technology to drive customer engagement across digital platforms. You'll work hands-on across the software stack, contributing to innovative marketing solutions from ideation to deployment. Led by the Manager, eCommerce Delivery, this role is ideal for a proactive, adaptable problem-solver with strong collaboration, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Design and write high quality code to evolve Home Hardware's digital platforms.
Integrate with internal and external API's and databases.
Designing and implementing REST API's.
Leverage Node.js, Express, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, JavaScript, JSON, HTML/CSS, Vue, Svelte and other technologies as required.
Apply advanced design patterns and technologies to develop high quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
Research and integrate best of breed technologies/frameworks/libraries, contributing back to open-source efforts where possible.
Optimize performance of both front-end and back-end systems to ensure quick loading times and scalability.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with data privacy standards.
Identify bugs and errors and fix them before they become a larger problem.
Practice defensive programming and write production-grade code.
Work with Agile software lifecycle methodologies including daily scrums, collaboration, sprint reviews and code demonstrations.
Create unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Mentor and bring new ideas to the team.
We're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with three to five years of experience in full-stack development, with expert-level knowledge of technology platforms and frameworks that enable marketing automation and customer relationship management (CRM).
Demonstrated proficiency with front-end technologies such as Node.js, JavaScript, JSON, HTML/CSS and Vue.
Extensive experience with various integration patterns such as SOAP, REST, file based, FTP using various formats such as JSON and XML.
Experience with cloud-native development, including serverless architectures and microservices.
Experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis), including writing optimized queries and managing database performance.
Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance optimization.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, and exposure to Azure and AWS.
Experience working with headless content management systems.
Experience coding data access.
Solid experience with modern source control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
Working knowledge of CI/CD approaches and tools.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Independent, determined, and driven to succeed.
The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
