As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and securing our Azure cloud environment. With a focus on operational efficiency, performance, and governance, you'll help ensure our cloud infrastructure remains cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with business goals. You'll take ownership of configuring, maintaining, and supporting Azure deployments, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive performance and scalability. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Infrastructure, this opportunity suits a strategic thinker and collaborator, with strong technical expertise and a passion for cloud innovation.

Manage and optimize Azure resources, including Virtual Machines (VMs), storage accounts, networking, and security policies to ensure Azure infrastructure availability, performance and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based infrastructure and services.
Monitor and manage Azure spending, implementing cost-saving measures and generating reports to track recurring cloud expenses.
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to automate deployments and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure cloud environments adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and security policies.
Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system health and performance.
Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure cloud-based systems are secure, up to date, available and scalable.
Enforce and develop Azure policies, tagging strategies, and resource groups to maintain an organized and cost-effective environment.
Implement backup policies and DR plans using Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
Work with DevOps, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud operations while maintaining clear documentation.
We're looking for:
Diploma in Information Technology and Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are an asset.
A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a Cloud Administrator, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
In-depth knowledge of Azure cost management tools, budgets, and forecasting.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation.
Experience with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and RBAC.
Familiarity with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, ExpressRoute).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Strong analytical skills to track and optimize recurring costs.
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process enhancements.
Strong communication (verbal and written), organization and problem-solving skills to prioritize and execute tasks while make sound decisions.
The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
