About the role
Join the Homeowner Business Transformation team, in the position of Senior Product Designer. In this role, you will bring a high-performing product design skillset and the ability to leverage design thinking practices to create UI/ UX flows and designs that balance strategic business goals with the needs of clients. You will also be working closely with cross-functional agile teams, and will actively contribute to shaping the future of our digital solutions.

This is a temporary position for a duration of 13 months.

What you'll do:

  • Provide expert knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process, including developing and using personas, flows, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals.
  • Maintain and update design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency across the product.
  • Deliver detailed wireframes, user flows, functional specification documentation and other artifacts to agile development teams and refine as needed during project sprints.
  • Think strategically for long-term impact, considering technical constraints and aligning designs with business goals.
  • Bring excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and processes clearly to both design and non-design stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design, advocating for innovation within the team.

What you should have:

  • A post-secondary education in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and outcomes with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of current web technologies, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • The ability to lead design thinking activities with internal teams, senior leadership, and clients, leveraging your excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • An experience working in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming.
  • The ability to drive design reviews, design crits, and be a design leader and coach to other designers.
  • Experience creating and managing design systems with a proficiency in Figma.
  • An expert understanding of visual design principles with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design. Knowledge of front-end development and web technologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from user data and research.
