About the role
Join the Enterprise Data Office in the Bilingual Specialist, Data Quality position. In this role, you will be responsible for operationalizing robust data initiatives and a quality framework that ensures integrity and reliability of data across the organization. You will focus on the development and execution of data quality monitoring reports to assess and enhance data integrity from various providers and/or data governance capabilities. By conducting regular engagement sessions with stakeholders, you will also identify and address data needs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enhance data quality tools and processes.
  • Work closely with business lines, data stewards, project/program managers, and IT teams, including partners, to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organizational decisions.
  • Monitor compliance with data quality standards and protocols to provide recommendations to improve data quality.
  • Execute data profiling assessments and provide insights to data stewards and business stakeholders into the quality of the data.
  • Define the data quality rules needed to meet the data quality business requirements to achieve a specific business intended purpose.
  • Define the business rules and link them to the data quality dimensions as per data quality standards documentation.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and ensure they are in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Support and provide insights to data stakeholders on displaying data quality metrics and validating their values and recommend ongoing enhancements to methods and models to lead to insights.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science, finance, commerce, or another related analytical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions with data governance responsibilities or within data technology with increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI.
  • A demonstrated ability to present complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • A familiarity with data quality best practices, including data mapping, governance controls, and automation, as well as a knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leveraging cloud-based, scalable solutions for data management.
  • A strong ability to analyze complex data sets and derive insights to support business decisions.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).


It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with Databricks, Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and Collibra.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to undertake and complete multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Well-developed qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently on individual projects.
