About the role

Join the Business Optimization and Systems team in the role of Bilingual Business Analyst. You will be joining the team that operates as a key control for the change management of the Finance and Homeowner Insurance business and other systems. You will help ensure changes are completed with buy-in of key stakeholders to reduce negative downstream impacts and help provide oversight of platforms used not only for finance or homeowner insurance but for key operational program activities. As a key member of the team, your expertise in business systems analysis, systems testing (including UAT), systems procedures and consensus building will help us achieve our goals.

This is a temporary position until December 2025.

What you'll do:

  • Help identify which business activities will be affected by system changes, and document the business requirements, training materials, process flows and user stories for system changes.
  • Analyze and understand business activities and systems as well as their interactions with other internal and external activities and systems.
  • Oversee the access provisioning and security for various systems, look after the inventory of security access roles and perform audit control reviews.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing ensuring timely development and execution of test cases related to the processes and systems.
  • Identify where automation can be used to streamline data processes and leveraging those efficiencies in end-user systems.
  • Document procedures to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Evaluate business change requests, triage and monitor system defects and recommend system enhancements while conforming to best practices.
  • Organize and triage incoming requests for general enquiries and support.


What you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma with a concentration in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related discipline or relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience analyzing or designing business systems or risking and decisioning platforms.
  • Experience providing specialized technical advice and recommendations with respect to Information Systems.
  • Experience with Excel and Power BI.
  • The ability to take initiative in completing multiple concurrent projects/ tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with technical support resources, business users and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to research issues, analyze problems, synthesize information and make recommendations.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).


It would be great if you also had:

  • A PMP (Project Management Professional) or CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) designation(s).
  • Relevant experience with Microsoft Cloud services, Mainframe applications.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, SAS.
  • Experience in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
