About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to our key projects as a member of our Test and Trials (T&T) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows:

  • Support functional verification testing of Combat System (CS) Software (SW)
  • Support subsystem integration verification testing of CS SW
  • Support regression testing of CS SW.
This job requires the candidate to perform both manual and automated testing in an agile SW development environment. As such, the candidate requires a mix of skills and experience including computer programming, problem solving, strong communication, and analytics. You will work in a Linux environment with multiple programming languages including Python, BASH, Java, and C++. Knowledge of combat management systems and mission systems SW is considered an asset.

As part of an agile team, your primary duties will include:
  • Develop, execute, and maintain functional tests to verify user stories and SW requirements
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests contributing to continuous regression testing
  • Document test results in the agile project management system and test management system
  • Identify, assess, document, and re-test defects contributing to overall quality improvement.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • 0-2 Years professional experience
  • Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Must be able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance.

  • Familiarity with test automation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Familiarity with BASH and Python
  • Familiarity with Java and C++
  • Familiarity with Subversion and/or Git
  • Experience with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
  • Experience with networks and networking tools is considered an asset
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)/Certified Tester Foundation Level Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) certification is considered an asset.
