Responsibilities

The Senior Learning Systems and Technology Analyst (Sr. LSTA), working within the Training team will:

  • Propose and develop technical solutions for learning products
  • Manage the planning and enablement of Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), Total Learning Architecture (TLA) linkages with model-based product support systems, and S1000D data standard compliant integrated data environments (IDE).
  • Lead the planning and implementation of instructional technology projects enabling the development of training materials which could include in-class training, e-learning modules, self-paced on-line and blended learning.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), sub-contractors and project teams to align on strategy and vision of a seamless customer experience.
  • Act as a leader and mentor to junior team members; be hands-on and lead by example.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or post-secondary degree with a major in:
    • Computer science, software engineering, engineering graphics or interactive media
    • Gamification/interactivity design for e-learning
    • Education, Adult Learning, or Distance Learning
  • 5-8 years of experience working with some or all of the following:
    • Programming languages such as: JSON, XML, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java, C, C++
    • Learning specifications such as: xAPI, cmi5, SCORM
    • Development tool suites such as: Microsoft DEVOPs, Git
    • Service architectures such as: REST, Cloud, SOA
    • Project management techniques such as: ADDIE, Agile
    • Training Standards such as S1000D, S6000T and S3000L
    • Systems and software engineering technical standard ISO/IED 15288
    • Integrated Data Environments (IDEs)
    • Development and maintenance of technical documentation, including requirements and design specification
