What is the opportunity?
The Developer, IT Risk Management Reporting role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge IT risk management initiatives at 90 Western Pkwy, Bedford, NS. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards and reporting tools to support IT risk analysis and decision-making. This position provides the chance to collaborate with stakeholders, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the organization's risk management strategies while working in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to support IT risk management analysis and reporting.
  • Write and refine Python scripts to automate data collection, transformation, and analysis.
  • Construct and optimize SQL queries for effective data management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate their business needs into technical requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and storage.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboard performance and data accuracy.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in data visualization and management.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience with Data Analytics, Tableau dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, particularly for data manipulation and script automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience in data engineering, including ETL processes and data modeling.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience in IT risk management or a related field.
  • Certifications in Tableau, Python, or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools like DataBuildTool (dbt), Dagster, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD best practices for workflow optimization.
