The Network Team Leader will be responsible to lead the day to day of networking infrastructure operation services following architect organizational standards, and mentor the networking team. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient with network support for large scale and industrial applications as well as able to manage networking projects. The Network Team Lead needs to be able to coordinate and allocate resources to align networking goals with JDI IT objectives and should exercise independent judgment in methods and techniques for obtaining results.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentorship and coaching for a diverse team of network analysts
  • Manage deliverable expectations and commitments
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and oversight on networking projects
  • Manage the workload, while assessing, organizing, and prioritizing obstacles and commitments​
  • Support the enforcement of standards, road maps, frameworks, processes and policies related to networking
  • Manage the team, while promoting empowerment, individual contribution, and engagement​
  • Provide networking technical leadership and consulting to other teams across the organization
  • Process improvement​ of networking support for all tiered support levels
  • Manage and report on all Networking metrics​

Qualifications

  • Education Required: University degree
  • 10 years of experience working in technical position and / or developing and maintaining network standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player and effective communication
  • Data and process driven
  • Builds professional network and reputation
  • Effectively communicates and interacts with Management and Leadership
