The IT Production Controls Manager oversees several key functions within the IT department that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to our clients. The IT Production Controls Manager will own the creation and fulfillment of IT processes / procedures, including Asset, Change, Problem, and Major Incident Management, in coordination with ITIL best practices. The IT Production Controls Manager is also responsible for establishing, measuring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Change, Problem, Asset Management, and delivery of these services. Reporting to the Director, IT Service and Operations, the IT Production Controls Manager must be effective at leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and have solid understanding of ITIL best practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ITSM processes including: Problem Management, Change Management, Major Incident Management, and Configuration Management
  • Oversee problem records to ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders and post incident reviews
  • Plays a key role in the IT vendor management program working with software and hardware vendors by providing for example, licensing information. This role is responsible to provide all required information to new and existing vendors
  • Be accountable for the transition of projects into operations; ensuring that all required tasks and approval gates are successfully completed before new products and systems are accepted into the operational environment.
  • Ensure that regular and accurate management reporting on IT Change and Problem records are provided to IT Senior Management. Responsible for continuous improvement IT change management process
  • Responsible for how assets are managed and the processes that are used to manage the assets. Also responsible to identify potential areas for service improvement and present to IT Management Team
  • Provide team feedback and develop action plans to re-mediate issues, identify processes and skills required for continuous improvements in knowledge
  • Maintain a strong understand of the business and what impacts decisions can have on operations
  • Encourage an environment that fosters continuous improvement in service management processes
  • Support the supply management team in SOW, SLA and OLA negotiations, as it relates to Software licenses and Hardware purchases

Your Experience:

  • University degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
