As a Benefits Data Analyst you will be working collaboratively with a team of Benefits Partners. The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing summarizing, and reporting of pension and benefits data globally (CA, US, UK and IR), ensuring compliance to internal controls (corporate policies and standards) and regulatory obligations associated with pension and benefits. They are also responsible for preparation and reconciliation of invoices, preparing data for presentations and budgeting to support and understand benefits trends.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark best practices and market data, research industry trends, and estimate impact to support renewals and funding strategies
  • Manage the pension and benefit data used globally for preparation and settlement of service provider obligations, reconciliations, adjustments to General Ledger and reporting of pension and benefits
  • Understand and apply global internal and external compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Summarize and analyze internal and external data and make recommendations based on findings
  • Build and maintain quarterly stewardship reporting, annual reporting and renewal data
  • Support and respond to internal and external audit and data requests
  • Manage some program and processes to support the Employee Benefits services
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity and budgeting exercises
  • May be assigned special projects with short to mid-term deliverables

Your Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high ownership and accountability while maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with employee records and business information
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment, as well as independently

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Pension and Benefits experience would be preferred
  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation would be an asset
  • 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst would be an asset
