The Position
At Digital Technology, we are embarking into a transformation program to change our ways of working and introduce innovative technologies that will play a crucial role in enabling business initiatives across the organization.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and drive technology transformation initiatives in a wide variety of fields, such as Talent, Data and Analytics, AI, Infrastructure & Operations, Ways of working, among others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of digital transformations, global implementations, and passion for emerging technologies. It also requires a deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.), stakeholder management, and enterprise technology modernization. You will be reporting to the Director, Technology Strategy and Transformation.
The Digital Technology Project Manager will be responsible for the initiation, planning, controlling, monitoring, execution and closing of projects linked to Technology Transformation programs. Responsibilities include building project strategies using agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies, communicating with confidence, driving completion of tasks, experience in managing risks, removing impediments to progress, while fostering team empowerment.
Project Leadership & Execution:
Lead end-to-end technology transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives, using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies wherever applicable.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, roadmaps, backlogs, sprints, release plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, from Digital Technology, other business functions within McCain, vendors, and external partners.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies when applicable (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) to ensure smooth project execution.
Continuously assess project risks, dependencies, impediments, and mitigation options to ensure timely resolution and successful delivery.
Foster a culture of Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Manage contract objectives and budgets, regularly reporting on contract milestones, execution, and risks.
Ensure that vendors are performing in accordance with contractual obligations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
Build strong relationships and work closely with business leaders, product owners, developers/engineers, and cross-functional teams to align on project goals, and define success metrics.
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication of project priorities and objectives.
Ensure seamless communication and change management strategies in a fast-paced, agile work environment, to drive adoption.
Drive Agile adoption and coaching across teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
Assist in team development while holding people accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; and mentoring and developing team members.
Promote empowerment of the team, ensuring that each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure projects comply with security and IT governance requirements.
Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to measure project performance and team efficiency.
Optimize Agile workflows for improved delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. Ensure continuous improvement in project management practices.
Technology Transformation & Innovation:
Ensure seamless integration of modern enterprise software, platforms, and emerging technologies.
Stay updated on Agile trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
10 or more years of experience managing Technology and business/industry projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience managing Agile technology projects.
Ability to blend Agile and traditional project management practices together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
Expertise in Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean Agile frameworks.
Agile Methodology certifications are considered an asset (Scrum CSM and/or SAFe).
Previous experience in Agile transformations within large enterprises.
Proficiency in Agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.) are assets.
Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and direct team to let go of unnecessary or distracting work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others as well as to manage conflict.
Comfort with quickly changing priorities and a high level of adaptability and flexibility while maintaining the "big picture" view.
Ability to build relationships with cross functional team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership and ensure accountability of team.
Demonstrated experience in leading diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
Strong communication and ability to manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships all while driving results.
Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
Job is primarily performed in a hybrid working model with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days per week.
Travel: Small amounts, as needed.

Compensation Package: $85,500.00 - $114,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
