Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Architecture, the person in this role has deep and HANDS-ON knowledge in frontend and backend solutions development as well as expertise in development of DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code solutions & processes. Solid knowledge of enterprise repository architecture and governance is required. Given the breadth of this role the person must learn and adapt quickly. This person has a history of success and impact. Maintaining a balanced, measured approach to projects will be key to success. Individual will be expected to work with equal ease on their own or as part of a team. Individual must be innovative and business focused to overcome anticipated and unexpected obstacles. As well, you will be:

• Architecting and building cloud solutions to business requirements in accordance with enterprise application standards and best practices.
• Leading software development projects and overseeing the activities of the solutions delivery & operations teams.
• Documenting and recording every aspect of an application or software.
• Planning, designing and implementing test plans and reporting findings.
• Using Microsoft platform technologies (ASP.NET Web API) and Azure & MS ERP suite, design, build and modify existing business-tier components, web applications, and database objects.
• If necessary, create prototypes to validate proposed ideas and solicit input from stakeholders.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Facilitates the cloud lifecycle journey aligning to Agile, Cloud Adoption Framework & Well-Architected Framework, DevOps and ITIL with a strong metrics and analytical mindset to drive automation and self-service technology.
• Leads the architecture practice and sets strategic direction around Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure that technology automation and orchestration is in alignment with business strategies, capabilities, and platform governance.
• Transforms the organization by leveraging and enabling software defined toolsets predicated on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD/CMP).
• Bring multiple best practices and operational disciplines to the table, to ensure strategy, technology, culture and execution are always aligned.
• Accountable for identifying, designing, building, and implementing API services and gateways, microservices architecture (APIOps) and having end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction, delivery effectiveness, and cost transparency.
• Establishes, communicates, and drives end-to-end executable technology into a reusable code/template and multi-cloud model while promoting agility and ease-of-use.
• Provides expertise in the areas of cloud when consulting with partners to determine technical requirements, feasibility, cost, and performance.
• Designs and implements multi-tiered/cross-cloud solutions that are highly available and resilient.

Some things that would impress us:

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
• Expert knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, Infra as a Code, CI/CD and container management platforms.
• 7+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as Application/solution architecture, Technical/Infrastructure architecture, Information/Data Architecture & Business Architecture) in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise developing in various programming languages & tools such as C#, Java, PHP, Python, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework Core, and Azure services.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio, Postman, and VS Code.
• Expertise of Azure & MS ERP platform (Dynamics 365) features, services, tools, and architectures for integration.
• Extensive experience with DevOps, TOGAF, ITIL and Agile process methodologies.
• Experience designing, building, and implementing API gateways and micro-services architectures.
• Familiarity with graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories.
• Creativity and a detailed understanding of coding and design principles.
• Leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
