Job description

As a Senior Product Designer at Lendesk, you will report to the Director of Design and collaborate with fellow design team members to craft exceptional web products—this means:

  • You’ll manage every aspect of the user journey for each project you work on. This includes design execution from research and ideation to copywriting, prototyping, user testing, and final production.
  • You’ll tackle complex, abstract problems in collaboration with team members across various departments, including business, sales and marketing, customer success, development, and product management.
  • You’ll drive a large scope of work with a high degree of autonomy and create clarity from ambiguity.
  • As part of a highly collaborative team, you’ll clarify requirements, adapt to new information, and effectively communicate your thoughts and ideas while assisting others in doing the same.
  • You’ll facilitate and engage in design workshops, brainstorm sessions, reviews, explore new tools or processes to bring back to the team, and mentor other team members, contributing to the design team’s culture.
  • You’ll be able to actively contribute to our evolving company culture, including the opportunity to engage with the social committee and showcase your creativity by digitally illustrating endearing caricatures of your coworkers during Friday all-hands meetings.

Skills and experience

  • You have 5+ years of product design experience designing web-based complex products. Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
  • You have a strong background in UX design, and a proven track record of working within a cross functional team to ship successful products to users.
  • You have a portfolio showcasing real-life examples of your work as a product designer.
  • You are an excellent communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves collaborating with smart and talented people.
  • You have experience managing stakeholders and working with business teams on requirements gathering and business analysis related to product design projects.
  • You can confidently provide direction on product features and roadmaps, manage product design projects, and contribute to the overall design strategy decision-making.
  • You are a solution-oriented individual with a product-thinking mindset, capable of working independently to push projects across the finish line and align design outcomes with business and product expectations.
  • You’ve got a sharp eye for details and can reinforce team standards for quality of work and process, mentoring and providing feedback to other designers to help them improve their skills.
  • You have experience working with and evolving established design systems, and are proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.

Lendesk is committed to offering competitive salaries to all our team members. This role has a salary range of $98,000–$117,500 which accounts for the skills you’ll bring to the team, the impact you’ll have on the business, and the growth you’ll experience in the role.
