A Principal PS Sales Consultant role at OpenText is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to impact lives. As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in constructing cutting-edge information management solutions that contribute to selling OpenText's technology solutions and services to clients, helping businesses choose the right products or services to meet their technology needs. This role involves a mix of technical knowledge and sales skills with a customer-centric mindset, focused on value and business outcomes.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
•Support services sales opportunities by providing subject matter expertise in the Application Delivery Management space leveraging OpenText's software and best fit to purpose solutions.
•Technically qualify sales opportunities with Client Manager/Director (Services Sales Representative). within the OpenText Customer and Prospect base, taking into consideration the competitive landscape, solution fit, OpenText's software products capabilities, 3rd party products/open source, and the relationship with the customer.
•Architect & presents solutions/proposals to mid to senior-level business and technical users within customer accounts. Create effort estimation, Services delivery models with associated pricing based on proposed solution outcomes, value & OpenText's margin requirements (sales and delivery).
•Lead and run various workshops with customers to either assess Software Development Life Cycle maturity, discover solutions for identified problems or provide a strategy for digital transformation initiatives.
•Respond to RFx requests, taking the lead for the solution and technical elements of the response, representing OpenText's Professional Services capabilities and solutions.
•Independently or with other team members, proactively drive continuous pipeline development initiatives in own area of responsibility, engaging sales and delivery to grow and progress pipeline.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
•In-depth knowledge of OpenText's Application Delivery Management (ADM) portfolio, including but not limited to:
oApplication Lifecycle Management solutions (QC/ALM, Octane/ValueEdge/Core Software Delivery Platform)
oTesting solutions, the Unified Functional Testing family of products, Performance Testing products (Loadrunner-x), service virtualization, mobile application testing through DigitalLab and more
•Have a deep understanding of above products out of the box capabilities, integration points, limitations and compatibility within and outside of the ADM portfolio.
•Sufficient hands-on experience using and interacting with all ADM products, not for Delivery purposes but in order to determine how much effort it takes to perform certain tasks
•A deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Process
•A deep understanding of Enterprise DevSecOps concepts, from a people, process and technology standpoints. Understanding of all "continuous" use cases associated with DevSecOps (continuous Integration/Delivery/Testing/Operations/Security/Collaboration/Planning/Monitoring…
•General understanding of test data management concepts and tooling
•General understanding of applications security, data security and network security
OTHER SKILLS
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Ability to construct presentations that cater to practitioners or c-level stakeholders
•Solutions selling experience with the right balance of technical and sales dynamic
•Develop sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
•Post-sale, as a trusted advisor and SME, work with Delivery and the customer to ensure smooth implementation, providing support as needed.
•Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales assets (proposals, statement of work, demand models/pricing etc…)
•Potentially, participate in marketing initiatives, trade shows, and events to represent the company as needed.
