About the role
The Shop Marketing UX/Creative team is seeking a Staff Marketing Designer to join our multidisciplinary team of designers, content designers, and motion designers. As part of our team, you will leverage your craft to help influence and shape the creative of Shop product marketing—from app to ads business. The right candidate is a multidisciplinary designer, who champions context-aware creative thinking and execution and thrives on cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates strong brand instincts
Possesses a strong grasp of visual design principles
Solves complex problems with simple design solutions and translates them into effective suites of assets that can be leveraged across multiple surfaces
Exemplifies excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication skills that bring creative visions to life and clearly articulate creative decisions
Champions projects to ensure that they progress at a high level of craft excellence from start to finish
Helps the entire team grow and become more effective by pairing and collaborating with other creative crafters, sharing insights, new tools, and best practices
Produces compelling creative work—ranging from web experiences to digital ads
Works with cross-functional teams and stakeholders—such as, but not limited to Product Marketing, UX, Growth Marketing—to drive design vision and strategy that drive results, maintain brand integrity and quality, and meets our business objectives
Qualifications
Proven experience crafting world-class creative and solving design challenges of all shapes and sizes for B2B brands. A must-see in your portfolio.
Deep knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as, but not limited to, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
Demonstrated experience and comfort with creative technologies, bringing a passion for building bold experiences with generative AI (or better yet, share with us what we don't know)
Possess top-notch communications skills, having comfort and experience communicating with creative peers and marketing partners daily.
A "no task is too big or too small" mindset, demonstrating you're an all around team player.
A scrappy, resourceful approach to projects - you're proactive and require little guidance.
Passion for animation to simplify complex interactions and solve challenging motion problems.
An understanding that world-class experiences come from cross-disciplinary collaboration.
