Purpose

The Web Platforms Specialist reports to the Manager, Web Platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring delivery, performance, and optimization of Armstrong Collective's digital experiences to create an exceptional experience for our guests and trade partners, while delivering on our business objectives. This includes the execution of day-to-day activities to keep digital platforms operating optimally. By leading sprint management, collaborating across teams, and implementing testing frameworks, this position drives continuous improvements that enhance customer engagement and support business growth. This role bridges the gap between business objectives and technical execution, optimizing website performance, ecommerce functionality, and conversion rates through data-driven decision-making.

Key Areas of Accountability

Digital Platform Management

  • Ensure Armstrong Collective's digital platforms, including websites, guest portals, and digital experiences, are operational and performing optimally.
  • Collaborate with IT, Marketing, and external agencies to address digital functionality and UX concerns.
  • Translate business needs from stakeholders into technical requirements.
  • With overall oversight from the Manager, Lead the sprint management cycle of the assigned platform with development agency; overseeing testing, prioritization, approvals and adhering to strict deployment timelines and schedules.
  • Work closely with digital media and analytics to identify opportunities for improved user experience and measurement of guest engagement with digital platforms.

Ecommerce

  • Collaborate with the digital experience, brand, content, and IT teams to identify new opportunities for ecommerce system improvement.
  • Ensure accurate ecommerce data tracking is in place, communicating with the marketing analytics team to create agreed upon measurement systems and to identify areas of improvement.

Conversion Rate Optimization

  • Analyze digital platform performance using Google Analytics and other analytics tools to identify and report on conversion funnel optimization opportunities. As and when required, work in tandem with the Analytics and SEO Specialist
  • Lead cross-functional discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies.
  • Establish a robust framework for A/B testing, multivariate testing, heat map analysis, and surveying.
  • Design, execute, and document controlled experiments to measure effectiveness and drive decision-making.
  • Maintain a structured testing calendar, ensuring efficient resource allocation and conflict resolution.
  • Communicate test results, insights, and recommendations across all levels of the organization.
  • Work closely with development agency partners to ensure accurate web data tracking and support analytics initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Technical background in Technology or Marketing (required).

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Website Optimization, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Hands-on experience in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms such as Drupal.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics, A/B testing, and digital marketing tools.

Skills & Competencies

  • Effective project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology or similar (preferred)
  • Strong ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills, making complex data accessible.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, APIs, Javascript) (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy, customer psychology, and digital user experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities effectively.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with minimum 3 days work from office based in Vancouver.

Compensation

  • The base salary offered for this role is $63,000 to $73,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
  • Eligible for Armstrong Collective's discretionary bonus program
