DESCRIPTION

The Chronicle team is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) who can creatively solve complex technical problems with their team. We build global data products that proactively surface insights to help plan, grow, and optimize Amazon's business.

Sr. TPM will partner with engineers, SDMs, Product Managers and senior management to help create world-class solutions. We're looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while they make history. The ideal TPM is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities and an expeditious drive to deliver results. This opportunity requires deep technical, problem-solving and communication skills.

- Operational Excellence - monitor metrics and program health, anticipate and clear blockers, manage escalations.

A day in the life
- You organize a design review with a partner engineering team and ask probing questions to ensure the design meets customer needs.
- At the conclusion of that meeting, you ensure everyone understands what are the follow up action items, who owns them, and what are the expected delivery dates.
- You write a 1-pager to ask senior leadership for their guidance on a project issue that has bubbled up and could block the team.
- You prepare a bi-weekly program summary keeping senior leadership and other interested teams aware of progress toward goals.

About the team
This role is for Chronicle Data Services team within Selling Partner Services (SPS) org. We provides Amazonians and selling partners with comprehensive, accurate, standardized, and relevant metrics in a timely manner to enable high quality, high velocity decisions. We are a full stack team, with Product managers, UX designers, TPMs, SDEs, DEs and Data Scientists. Our team is split between New York, Seattle, and Vancouver.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary for this position ranges from $128,100/year up to $214,000/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
