Key job responsibilities
- Responsible for leading by example and mentoring more junior engineers.
- Leading the team's technical strategy and delivering on excellent designs and code.
- Solving our complex technical challenges with customer obsession.
- Work and collaborate in an agile team to deliver results and meet commitments.
- Own and architect distributed, fault tolerant, highly available and scalable services.
- Assist in developing project plans and meeting on customer commitments
- Strive to constantly improve our operational practices and CI/CD practices.
- Work with other engineers to diagnose and resolve customer issues including as part of on-call rotation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
