The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for crafting, developing, testing, and documenting the automation software used to control nanoparticle formulation instruments.

This position is part of the Engineering department located in Vancouver, Canada and will be an onsite role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery

What you'll do:

  • Software requirements development and system design documentation.

  • Embedded C/C++ product software development
    - General coding of jigs and test harnesses using various languages including Python and C#

  • Task tracking and reporting through JIRA; participate and initiat e code reviews.

  • Testing at all levels, from unit testing to system testing.

  • Adherence to any required regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical equipment software design.

Who you are:

  • A recognized provincial/territorial 4 year engineering degree in one of the following relevant areas: software, computer, electrical, engineering physics, systems engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics, industrial automation.

  • 8+ years direct software experience in a product development environment.

  • Someone who looks for ways to help others succeed, solve problems and leaves the ego at the door.

  • Someone who strives to continuously improve their craft at developing software.

  • Someone who enjoys testing and documentation to make work easier for others.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Software development for medical products

The salary range for this role is 120,000-140,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and retirement planning for eligible employees.
