Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data - structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.


The Fabric Warehouse team is looking for a seasoned and motivated Senior Product Manager to join them in helping drive product strategy and direction through close alignment and collaboration with customers and engineering teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Databases/Data warehousing technology/SQL/Data analytics
  • Solid product management, leadership, dependency management and cross-group collaboration skills with a track record of managing complex projects with many partners.
  • Experience across the entire product lifecycle - from product inception to GA and the know-how required to lead your team to realize your vision.
  • Innate curiosity and ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and a desire to create a collaborative team culture.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Create clarity on the product vision and roadmap for Fabric Datawarehouse Admin and Data management experiences
  • Deliver end-to-end product solutions, including requirements definition, compete analysis, user experience, and delivery of capabilities.
  • Advocate for the end-user, ensuring that the product delivers world class user experience and meets customer needs.
  • Execute on features by working closely with engineering, design, finance, business planning, marketing, field, customer support, partners and various product teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Analyze data from multiple data sources and drive key metrics such as usage, satisfaction etc., and make data-driven decisions to drive product growth and deliver success
