What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a security professional that is energetic, enthusiastic, with curiosity and a passion for Cyber Security. We are a team of vulnerability management professionals that requires an eager go-getter who wants to take charge and be a dependable team player within the organization. This role has a large degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders to achieve vulnerability management strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have industry relevant qualifications and certifications in cyber security, including strong relationship management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff, including promote a culture of high performance that celebrates inclusivity and innovation.

What will you do?

  • As a subject matter expert you will be continually developing new innovative solutions and intelligence strategies to ensure RBC's vulnerability and compliance capabilities remain relevant and prepared for the changing threat landscape and emerging threat factors.
  • Work in collaboration as a trusted partner to ensure that projects are planned, managed and executed in alignment with the functional strategy and goals.
  • Lead proactive triage and assessment activities of security-related vulnerabilities that pose a significant threat to the organization.
  • Lead the integration and global expansion of vulnerability management across RBC and subsidiaries

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Curiosity and passion for Vulnerability Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Information Security, including strong knowledge and experience of security frameworks and governance practices.
  • Strong prioritization and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment concepts, reporting and scanning tools (eg. Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Crowdstrike)
  • Working knowledge of developer tools and environments
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and deliver complex changes, with a proven track record to analyze and conceptualize data to meet objectives
  • Ability to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technology teams and supplier, on complex projects with excellent consultancy/advisory, facilitation, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor degree in computer and/or IT related disciplines
  • Cyber Security Certifications (eg. CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH)
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Mural and/or Lucidchart
  • DevOps knowledge and working knowledge of CI/CD architectures, designs and implementation
  • Experience with cloud security concepts and security scanning tools (eg. Aqua Security, Prisma, Wiz, Snyk)
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • People management experience and proven leadership and coaching abilities
