We're looking for a Senior Development Director for an unannounced project, who will oversee full franchise operations, project management and project auditing. They are passionate about solving difficult problems. They can collaborate and motivate, often across departments and with peers or partners in other parts of the business. Their greatest strengths are building relationships, their ability to creatively work through project risks, and being comfortable in both longer term strategic planning and hands-on execution.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Leadership
    • Shares expertise across disciplines in the studios; Mentors within the team. May supervise the activities of others. Sets the tone for positive team culture and contributes to great culture at Kabam
    • Fosters an engaging, fulfilling and fun working environment that is inclusive and diverse.
    • Develops an engaged, motivated team with an understanding of what drives individuals and teams. Using important skills such as empowerment, and support which foster a great team culture with the right values
    • Leads coaching, mentoring, and career development of your team, responsible for the talent planning within your cross functional team. Lead project managers at all levels of your team.
    • Partners with the leadership team to ensure the team has the best organizational structure and processes that allow them to produce high quality, on time, and on budget.

    • Project Management:
    • Manages all operational aspects of the game development for a team or multiple teams, including establishing development framework, reporting, risk management, capacity planning, resource management and budget.
    • Establishes the strategy to complete milestones and important deliverables. Mitigating risks, balancing priorities, and finding creative solutions to achieve results.
    • Determines the resource needs of the team, resolve identified gaps, monitor and adjust capacity plans within multiple projects.

    • Financial Tracking:
    • Works with Executive Producer, Finance and Product Manager to establish a project budget
    • Works with the project team to determine task requirements, estimates and assign tasks to team resources
    • Collaborates with Executive Producer, Product Manager to reconcile basic financial information for reporting
    • Ensures projects are within spending limits for time and resources

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

    • 10+ years of Project Management, Operations and leadership experience with the ability to work with a variety of partners.
    • 3+ years of JIRA and Confluence expertise
    • 2+ years recent experience leading development on multi-platform environments, in a AAA game environment.
    • Experience managing a large project or multiple projects using a variety of project management methodologies.
    • Experience building resource plans and managing budgets at scale.
    • Strength in building relationships and setting clear expectations.
    • Proven track record of developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.

$142,400 - $178,000 a year
The typical hiring range listed above is specific to candidates located in Vancouver. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you'll have room to grow after you join!
