Position: IT Hospitality Specialist
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: Manager, IT Hospitality Technology

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supporting the IT Hospitality Division for Canucks Sports & Entertainment and Toptable Group, the IT Hospitality Specialist will be the first contact point for support within the hospitality technology division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to tickets, implementing and maintaining hospitality technology systems, and providing on-site support for arena events and Toptable restaurants. The candidate will work closely with the Manager, IT Hospitality Technology on projects, road mapping and budgeting for the organization relating to IT hospitality. This hands-on role will develop and execute creative strategies for cost-effective technology service delivery and will be accountable for the effective management of all related vendor partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments to identify and analyze problems
  • Translate business needs into technical documentation to be used by the Hospitality Technology Team
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet business specifications
  • Participate in project planning, management, and execution to ensure successful delivery of Hospitality Technology projects
  • Present business recommendations and technical functional specifications
  • Maintain internal documentation system
  • Assist with CSE and Toptable Group support cases and provide on-site presence during events as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in a technology or business-related discipline, with 2 years of experience in related roles within Hospitality and/or Retail industry.
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale and payment systems, inventory management and retail software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively translate complex technology concepts into accessible business terms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Highly organized and detailed, with the ability to balance priorities and multitask.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with an ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with end users at all levels within the organization.
  • Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills coupled with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible, extended hours, as required.
