At Kabam, we're constantly raising the bar of excellence in free-to-play gaming. We hire for passion and diversity so that we can triumph in our collective skill. Our teams are made up of a fusion of personalities and interests bound together by a collaborative nature, fun-loving culture, and a drive to do what it takes to make great games. And this is where you come in…
Our Vancouver studio is looking for an Executive Producer to spearhead our next big AAA game project at Kabam. As an EP, you will build accountability, cohesiveness and support within your team so they can work effectively together and, in turn, enable each employee and the team to succeed. You will support and foster a growth mindset by engaging and encouraging others to continuously learn through training, mentorship, feedback, and coaching.
You are an experienced product leader with direct experience producing all major game phases (e.g. concept, pre-production, production), including successful live production for AAA games. You are a connector, linking senior leadership to employees through open communication to ensure all parties remain informed by appropriately cascading organization information and rolling up feedback from the team. You can stay at a high level and articulate a long-term strategy; at the same time, you can roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to support the team when the situation calls for it.
In this role, you can expect to...
Business Acumen & Leadership
Provide broad creative oversight of a brand that may include one or several contributing products.
Ensure product pillars are represented consistently across the product or a franchise of products within the same brand and various media (e.g., movies, soundtracks, etc.).
Anticipate business needs, stay current on industry trends and competitor activity, and align staffing and resource planning to both short- and long-term goals.
Collaborate closely with corporate partners to develop and execute multi-year brand strategies and influence cross-functional alignment at all levels.
Lead multiple functions or sections through a team of producers, define 3-year product goals, and drive vision for larger teams in line with the organization's strategic direction.
Evaluate "Product Health" in multiple product phases (e.g. concept, pre-production, production, live production) and be accountable for overall strategy to maintain product health
Problem Solving & Decision Making
Guide teams through complex problem-solving and decision-making by setting strategic policies, defining key outcomes, and empowering autonomy.
Evaluate and sustain product health at every phase, aligning roadmap strategy with production realities and quality benchmarks.
Drive the evolution of studio production processes and methods, while mentoring and leading the entire Production staff.
Collaboration & Communication
Foster a respectful and inclusive environment, ensure open communication between leadership and staff, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Act as the connector between senior leadership and the broader team, ensuring information flows both ways and decisions are clearly communicated.
Communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner with all levels of internal staff and external technology partners as applicable.
People & Resource Management
Oversee internal and external development, balancing technical capabilities and limitations, while fostering excitement across the studio.
Effectively communicate timely feedback and feedforward to support the growth of your employees.
Champion the producer discipline by supporting hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, and performance reviews, and serving as a strong advocate for the end user.
Own budget management and resource allocation across all functions of the product, ensuring alignment with overall studio and business objectives.
To be successful in this role, your background includes:
10+ years in gaming or entertainment production, with 5+ years in a leadership role, in a mid or large sized organization

Strong understanding of technologies associated with game development and production (capabilities and limitations)
Direct experience producing all major game phases (e.g. concept, pre-production, production, live production). Experience producing live production
Transformative leadership style, seeks to grow and mentor their teams, not simply manage them
