Reporting to the ERP Data Lead, the Business Analyst for ERP Supply Chain (Source to Pay) will play a critical role in the data readiness and data migration activities during the ERP implementation program. This outstanding individual will focus on supporting the supply chain team throughout the data extraction, transformation, migration, and validation process to ensure that the data from existing ERP systems is accurately transitioned to the new ERP platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative approach to handling project partners and to ensure data integrity throughout the ERP migration journey.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with data stewards, product owners, business partners, and technical teams to ensure that data migration activities are properly planned, driven, and supervised. The goal is to ensure that data is correctly and fully migrated, with a key focus on data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and validation throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Follow and promote safety and environmental rules and procedures throughout the data migration process to ensure that all activities align with safety standards
  • Actively support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities from the legacy ERP systems to the data readiness tool
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure smooth data migration across supply chain processes such as procurement, inventory management, and supplier management
  • Collaborate with key partners to assess current data readiness levels to ensure all data required for migration is clean, accurate, and complete
  • Work with data stewards to prepare data for migration, ensuring that any gaps or issues are identified and resolved in advance
  • Ensure that all data processes are carefully assembled and validated as part of the migration strategy
  • Work alongside data stewards to identify, cleanse, and correct any discrepancies or data quality issues in the existing systems prior to migration
  • Participate in the profiling of existing data to identify data quality issues or gaps. Work with technical teams to design and implement the transformation processes to ensure that the data aligns with the new system's requirements
  • Collaborate with data developers, technical teams, and third-party software providers to ensure that the data migration process runs smoothly and that data integrity is maintained while ensuring all partners are aligned on migration schedules, timelines, and dependencies
  • Supervise the progress of data readiness and migration activities to stay informed of key performance achievements to ensure supply chain areas are on track within the larger ERP implementation timeline
  • Address and resolve any data-related bottlenecks or delays in the migration process
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by ensuring the migrated data is tested against business requirements
  • Facilitate UAT sessions to confirm that the data meets business expectations and address any data-related issues raised by end-users during testing
  • Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and system documentation related to data migration changes
  • Ensure end-users are adequately educated on new data processes to facilitate a smooth adoption of the new ERP system
  • Aid in leading transitions linked to data migration, ensuring alignment with corporate change and release management procedures
  • Ensure that all data migration activities are well-documented, tested, and communicated to relevant partners

Qualifications:

  • Applied University Degree with emphasis on information systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role, specifically focused on data readiness and data migration within ERP systems, including hands-on experience supporting data migration for supply chain processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand and resolve data-related issues
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data and ensure high-quality data throughout the migration process
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, handling multiple tasks related to data readiness and migration, and adhering to tight deadlines in a high-pressure ERP implementation context
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and ERP systems, particularly in industries such as mining, manufacturing, or any industry requiring sophisticated data migrations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and SharePoint (O365 preferred)
  • Familiarity with data migration tools such as Syniti or other ETL tools is highly desirable
  • Experience with organizational change processes and methodologies, specifically in the context of ERP implementations and data migration
  • Previous experience with ERP system migrations, particularly in supply chain processes, and direct involvement in data migration for systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset
