Av Engine Developer - Security Researcher

We are seeking an Engine Developer to work on the projects supporting the Anti-Virus (AV) team. AV features run on our FortiGate devices to protect clients from a vast range of network attacks by scanning incoming files for malicious activity. The Engine Team plays an integral role in keeping the AV engine relevant by developing new features to better detect ever appearing attacks and keeping it efficient by maintaining high-speed processing. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop tools for malware analysis, de-obfuscation, and unpacking.
• Conduct research on latest malware techniques.
• Analyze and reverse engineer a variety of malware.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate research projects into the AV engine.
• Contribute to the development of the AV engine.

Skills Required:

• Experience with Python.
• Experience with C and C++ development in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, OllyDBG, radare2) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows internals is a plus.
• Knowledge of Rust is a plus.
• Motivation to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant work experience.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $81,000 - $110,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
