Your Opportunity

We are actively seeking a Senior Project Architect.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing tasks on multiple projects.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs the work throughout the life of the project.

  • Keeps the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project.

  • Leads the client and project team to meet budget, schedule, program, and design intent.

  • Develops and manages work plan to realize target financial performance.

  • Leads project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.

  • Manages and tracks change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.

  • Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections.

Qualifications

Capabilities and Credentials

  • Capable of simultaneously supporting multiple projects.

  • Excellent understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards.

  • Offers and supports creative technical design and detailing decisions that are in line with project goals and understands their impact on cost, construction, sustainability, and other factors.

  • Understands and leads the integration of code, zoning, market specific best practices.

  • Adheres to established project sustainability requirements.

  • Develops and produce plans, sections, elevations, and details appropriately.

  • Reviews, marks-up and delivers document corrections to team for implementation.

  • Ability to distribute work to project team.

  • Proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction or guidance.

  • Effectively manages multiple deadlines and priorities.

  • Team player with the client, entire project team and contractor.

  • Excellent communicator.

  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, and professional license.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • BC Other Areas $94,000 - BC Other Areas $141,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
