We are looking for a Cybersecurity Automation Engineer at Fortinet , with a strong background in cybersecurity and software development. The candidate will be part of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Collections and research team who will collaborate to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for automation to optimize efficiency and accuracy. This role is focused on creating and implementing automation solutions to enhance, improve efficiency, and increase throughput.

Responsibilities:

  • A strong background in cybersecurity, and development in supporting cyber security products.
  • Develop and implement automation projects to streamline collection processes, including but not limited to automated report generation, malware analysis automation, and data collection automation from variety of sources.
  • Integrate automation solutions with existing tools and platforms to ensure seamless operation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including threat analysts, threat researchers, and engineering to ensure automation solutions meet the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Experience in understanding wide and disparate datasets.
  • Understanding and maintaining the existing generative AI pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation processes and tools in a timely manner.
  • Design, develop, and maintain proprietary developed software tools and scripts that automate and supports the threat intelligence product.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on threat intelligence and automation.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Go.
  • Strong Information Security fundamentals
  • Good Understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence (Deep and Dark web)
  • Must be interested to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Ability to adapt and innovate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in technologies such as Opensearch, GraphQL, MongoDB will be a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and present ideas clearly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding and knowledge of multiple open source and closed source AI models.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data analysis techniques applied to cybersecurity.

Desired Experience: 6-8 years

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $90,000 - $121,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
