Job Description

As a Designer you will mainly be responsible for designing fire suppression systems and prepare drawings in accordance with current codes using Revit software. Among other things, your responsibilities will be to :

  • Create building information models (BIM) using Revit, to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of fire suppression systems;
  • Identify and resolve fire suppression piping clashes with other building elements and architectural features;
  • Reproduce and draw sketches, drawings and plans using 3D Design/Modeling software;
  • Verify drawings in accordance with the established procedure;
  • Participate in project meetings with project managers;
  • Submit drawings for approval;
  • Participate in coordination meetings with other trades.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Autodesk Revit diploma;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position with REVIT MEP;
  • Knowledge and understanding of sprinkler and/or mechanical services;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or HydraCAD (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Navisworks (an asset);
  • Experience in the fire protection industry (an asset).
  • Team oriented.
