THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a senior software developer to work within our Developer Programs team.

THE PERSON:

We're looking for a team member to help us develop an innovative web site for developers with high impact. You are somebody who enjoys solving complex problems and is eager to learn new technologies. Whether you're a full-stack expert or specialize in front-end development, your attention to detail and conscientious approach will shine. You'll take ownership of your areas whilst also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a warm and inclusive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Website development: Collaborate with your team and wider stakeholders to implement a new user-friendly, robust website to support our software developer audience with creating and improving their applications.
  • Performance optimization: Continually optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Security and SEO: Maintain and enhance website security, performance, and SEO.
  • Internal tools: Assist with development of internal deployment tools.
  • Publishing content: Assist stakeholders with deploying content.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong React and/or Angular knowledge, including Typescript.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS/SCSS.
  • Python proficiency.
  • Git/GitHub familiarity.
  • Basic Linux knowledge.
  • Eye for great design and UX principles.
  • Native-level (English) light technical content writing/editing.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of diverse stakeholder perspectives.
  • Conscientious, with a great eye for detail.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE (any of these might boost your application):

  • Astro, Next.js, or any SSG/SSR website development.
  • Django
  • Markdown (including processing).
  • WordPress
  • Headless CMS experience.
  • Azure AD/Entra ID.
  • Web server configuration.
  • QA experience with web projects.
  • Working effectively in a global remote work environment.
  • Interest in ML, computer hardware, graphics, or gaming.
  • Typescript, React, Angular, SSR

    Python (Programming Language), Git, Documentation, Full-Stack Development

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
