About this opportunity:

Reporting to the CMMS Technician Lead, the Senior CMMS Technician will provide advanced and specialized onsite end user support, provide input and propose enhancements to the work management processes/systems. This role will also deliver training and coaching to the processes/systems and support the sites with viewing and investigating reporting data, while supporting alignment for CMMS procedures and practices among all Cenovus sites.

While this vacancy is currently at Foster Creek, this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the three Oil Sands Operations sites (Christina Lake, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need).

Work Environment:

This is a full-time employee position working a shift of either

  • 11.43 hrs/day and 5.71 hrs on the first and last day; 8 days on 6 days off; 40 hrs/week; 2 week cycle

  • 11 hrs 25 mins/day; 7 days on 7 days off; 40 hrs/week; 2 week cycle (Canada)

Foster Creek

  • Foster Creek is a full-service camp facility

  • Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations

  • Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton

Sunrise

  • Sunrise is located approximately 100 km northeast of the City of Fort McMurray and is a fly in/ fly out remote camp-based position.

  • Cenovus will provide transportation to Sunrise from designated hubs out of Calgary and Edmonton

  • At the Sunrise site, employees will be provided comfortable camp accommodations and recreational amenities

What you'll do:

  • Improve SAP functionality to reduce transactional work, focusing on work identification, planning and scheduling, work execution and closeout

  • Deliver advanced SAP training and develop and maintain related work instructions, procedures and material

  • Perform planner and scheduler competency assessments to ensure teams are working as effectively as possible

  • Perform auditing to confirm alignment with standards and procedures

  • Propose improvements and assist in the development of SAP and Power BI reporting.

  • Leverage corporate dashboards to better manage performance and support business needs

  • Prioritize multiple requests and system requirements to meet the organizational goals

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Technical Diploma or Journeyman Trades Certificate from an accredited institution

  • Knowledge of the SAP Plant Maintenance module, Power BI and MS Office suite

  • 8+ years related maintenance experience with maintenance standards, procedures and processes within the energy industry
