Key Position Functions:

  • Perform inquiry and contract review in conjunction with Sales and Engineering to identify and address project and production requirements.
  • Based on customer, engineering and manufacturing specifications, prepare ITPs to ensure that project requirements are clearly captured & implemented.
  • Address any specialized customer documentation requirements for projects as required.
  • Conduct Kick-off meetings with customers and/or Third-Party Inspection agencies for approval of quality plans.
  • Interact with Third-Party Inspectors.
  • Define, develop, review and apply applicable product regulatory standards (API 6A, API 6D, etc.) and customer quality requirements on Inspection and Test Plans for effective product realization of outsourced and in-house activities.
  • Develop QMS documentation (Quality Control Procedures, Work Instructions, Engineering Specifications, etc.) if required (project documents or standard use documents).
  • Review and approval of manufacturing routings to ensure customer quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations and policies.
  • Special projects related to the QMS as determined by the Corporate Quality Manager.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Engineering degree in mechanical / materials / chemical with minimum 3 years of experience in engineering / quality function in a manufacturing environment. Engineering Technologist with relevant oil and gas product experience will be considered.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills to effectively facilitate resolutions of customer product issues.
  • Product knowledge and experience working with oil & gas drilling equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Control requirements of various products as per API 6A & API 6D. Knowledge and exposure to industrial codes and regulatory requirements (ASME, ASTM, etc.) will be an asset.
  • Experience and understanding of Materials and Special Processes (NDE, Coating, Heat Treatment, etc.) and associated validation requirements an asset.
  • Quality Assurance Training / Certification preferred, equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to work with many diverse groups including inside sales, project managers, procurement, engineering and manufacturing.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
