Skills & Abilities:
Ability to analyze, adapt, and implement diverse teaching strategies.
Providing coaching, training, and personalized resources to help faculty refine their teaching craft.
Building connections across departments to co-create innovative, inclusive, and impactful academic programs.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a closely related field. This advanced degree ensures a solid foundation in instructional theories, design principles, and adult learning practices essential for the role.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in instructional design, teaching, or educational development. This experience should include working with diverse academic disciplines and implementing effective teaching strategies.
Training: Extensive experience in developing and delivering faculty training programs, mentoring educators, and managing instructional projects. Demonstrated expertise in integrating innovative teaching methods and utilizing educational technologies is highly desirable.
Additional Assets: Experience with academic research related to teaching practices and a track record of contributing to scholarly activities can further strengthen the candidate's qualifications.
Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $75,485.54 - $114.178.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Curriculum & Instruction Specialist).
This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement
