The student information technology developer will engage in an exciting relationship with an appointed mentor and work with the greater team creating high quality software solutions. Specific areas of learning will cover application of industry standard processes, practices, and techniques to develop web-based applications and APIs. There will be extensive opportunity to work closely with the development team and business stakeholders to develop appropriate object-oriented software systems that meet WestJet's business, technical and quality requirements.
The potential of enhancing existing software systems to ensure ongoing usability, performance and maintainability is endless. This role will align impeccably with an energetic self-starter who has a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Our business is growing and continually evolving so the successful student must exhibit a high standard of excellence, enjoys challenges and is results driven.
This role can start June 1st or September 1st with an end date of August 30, 2026.
