About this opportunity:

Cenovus is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Senior Health & Safety Management Systems Administrator, responsible for managing their Corporate Health & Safety Department SharePoint sites and the COIMS SharePoint Pages. This role includes overseeing the Health & Safety and COIMS Policy and Procedures Hub (PPH), managing the document control life cycle, and serving as the Corporate Administrator for various H&S programs like DriveSafe and Ergonomics. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and document control support for the Central Health & Safety Department, cover for other department administrators as needed, and be positive, forward-thinking, collaborative, and helpful.

What you'll do:

  • Provide administrative support to the Central Health & Safety (H&S) Team, including managing the annual budget and arranging travel and accommodations for the leadership team

  • Support various H&S Programs such as DriveSafe, Work Alone, and Ergonomics, and maintain the Corporate Management System documentation by collaborating with document owners to publish and update standards and guidance documents

  • Create and/or maintain various H&S SharePoint sites, ensuring proper access provisions, file structure, and document retention

  • Create and edit department communications, including alerts, memos, presentations, and more

  • Coordinate events and team activities, including the Safety Leadership Capacity Program, Safety Summit, and training sessions

  • Collaborate with Central and Deployed Safety teams to improve company-wide documentation for easy access to key information

  • Oversee the Management System exemption and deviation process, manage the COIMS reporting process, and disseminate information to team members through regular monthly and quarterly leadership reports, assisting COIMS entities in closing actions

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • 8+ years administrative experience

  • Office or business administration certification preferred

  • Knowledge in SAP, SharePoint and Document Control is an asset

  • Ability to handle confidential data while exercising discretion and good judgment
