SAIT's Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.
The Opportunity

This role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of exceptional, life-changing learning experiences, working with a range of people to accomplish this, both within SAIT, as well as industry, funders and other training partners.
As the glue, you're the champion of an exceptional, relevant learner experience as part of a defined product stack. You'll be responsible for a portfolio of learning products, from inception to retirement, playing a critical role in ensuring that the program meets customer needs, generates revenue, and achieves business objectives.
You're responsible for leading the product discovery, vision and strategy, analytics, and coordination to build, launch and iterate on innovative training products. In all of these activities, you will work closely with the teams within the Corporate Development, Applied Research and International Division responsible for training delivery, instructor contracts, and learning management platforms. (i.e., all items related to the administration and logistics of program delivery). Additionally, you'll coordinate industry and internal partners in co-creation and engagement in the programs, such as roundtables and guest speaking. You're a champion and advocate and provide the tools and information to your cross-functional internal team and industry partners on the program to ensure it's the right fit for participants.

The Role
Product Strategy and Vision
Identify customer needs, define the target market, determine the product roadmap, and create product pitch presentations
Understand the pathways for future learning and career paths from the program
Develop and maintain domain expertise in defined product stack
Market Research and Analytics
Gather and analyze data on customer needs, preferences and behaviors
Perform competitive analysis o Understand and analyze market trends
Product development and iterations
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strategically manage program development, workflows, processes, and reporting
Oversee product development/refinement process, to ensure adherence to timelines and budget
Product launch strategy
Create a go-to-market strategy for new and revised products
Make informed decisions about product improvements, updates and new features to meet targets
Stakeholder management
Identify and negotiate agreements with funding, program-specific suppliers, industry and community partners
Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry to understand the talent needs, co-create programming and collaborate
Develop strong relationships with other areas responsible for the identification and/or development of learning products, including Academic Schools, Applied Research, Youth Programming, etc.
Be a champion for the product internally, including maintaining a central 'source of truth' for the product encompassing the strategy and vision, descriptions, etc. that allows others to support and advocate for the product
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the product (e.g., technical issues, staffing, regulatory concerns and customer satisfaction)
Qualifications
Minimum
Relevant bachelor's degree or diploma and/or equivalent work experience; minimum 5 years
