The Analytics and Integration team, part of Enterprise Support Systems in Information Technology, is committed to driving innovation and cultivating a culture of continuous learning. As a Senior Systems Analyst you will be a highly motivated and adaptable professional who excels at rapidly mastering emerging technologies, creating prototypes, and transforming cutting-edge concepts into practical solutions. Join our team and contribute to shaping the future of our technology landscape. Primary duties include:

  • Provide technical vision and leadership for architecture, ensuring high-quality, scalable technology solutions. Blend strategic foresight with hands-on expertise in cutting-edge technologies.
  • Design and implement middleware solutions using integration technologies, cloud toolsets, and scalable design patterns.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for operations, support and development teams, covering topics like REST, SOAP, messaging, event-driven architecture, API management, and API gateways.
  • Stay ahead of technological advancements, assess their relevance, and craft informed recommendations to address infrastructure needs. Deliver clear technical direction that empowers teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Continuously explore and adopt new tools, frameworks, and methodologies. Develop proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate the feasibility of novel solutions and evaluate existing systems for performance and efficiency improvements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and guiding others in best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications 

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with at least 4 years of related experience; OR
  • A completed 2 year Technical Diploma with at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience with system design and development experience with strong integration, architecture and data skills is required.
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, TIBCO, MuleSoft, or similar Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms and tools is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the integration design approaches, and message exchange patterns, including publish/subscribe, request/reply, queueing, and streaming are required.
  • Technical knowledge and work experience in implementing integrations with web services / SOAP / REST / file-based integration patterns are required.
  • Proficiency in industry security standards such as OAuth, SAML, TLS, and AES is essential.
  • Understanding of integration design patterns for building middleware systems from scratch including, security models, encryption, routing, transformations, error handling, logging, and auditing will be considered assets.
  • You are a team player and are able to demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • You have a customer service focus, the ability to develop trusted relationships, and the ability to work strategically as well as operationally.

Compensation: Pay Grade 13 $47.77 - 63.92 per hour (2024 Rates)

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week. This position may require after-hours support and on-call support.
