  • This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

NOVA Chemicals, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is wholly-owned by Mubadala Investment Company of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate professional for an IT Digital Automation Analyst with experience working in an agile development environment, Infrastructure-as-Code, Security-as-Code, and End to End (E2E) workflow development.

NOVA Chemicals' digital strategy is focused on innovation and leveraging cloud capabilities and automation and orchestration services to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our business. The ideal candidate should have experience working with continuous integration/delivery pipeline platforms, application security, security orchestration, and business process automation.

In this role, you will help the team evolve NOVA Chemicals' digital practice, leveraging best practices and tools and applying your expertise in E2E automation to establish a scalable digital platform, optimizing efficiency, self-service, governance, and security utilizing both low-code and pro-code development technologies.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Support the vision of Digital Enablement Team by working closely with team members and leaders to implement and support secure, high performance, maintainable and scalable enterprise cloud architecture across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs
  • Develop new and maintain existing enterprise solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform: PowerApps, Power Pages, Power Automate and Copilot Studio
  • Assist in the adoption of the Microsoft Power Platform across the organization and enabling 'Citizen Development'
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the rapidly evolving landscape of development and workload migrations to SaaS, and PaaS
  • Design and implement continuous security processes to continuously improve the security posture of applications and infrastructure
  • Implement a highly automated approach to deliver our key management processes by exploiting investment in existing tooling and/or identifying new tooling
  • Develop procedures to automate tasks during code builds and deployments
  • Support platform integrations including security, cloud, and infrastructure
  • Coordinate between development and operations teams to increase the security, stability, and reliability of applications
  • Challenge the status quo and seek new and better ways of solving technical problems

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience and continued professional development
  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform development
  • Experience in Azure related Automation tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices in low-code and pro-code frameworks
  • Demonstrated understanding of application security controls across multiple platforms
  • Experience in DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or other similar tools to support automation and orchestration service development
  • Working knowledge in Azure cloud
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps Scrum work management practices

Additional Information:

  • Relocation will be considered to the nearest geographical NOVA Chemicals' location for this position
  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
  • This role requires up to 10% travel
