Position Summary:

The Obsolescence Analyst Intern reports to the Manager, Obsolescence while collaborating with internal departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket/Customer Support. The Obsolescence Analyst Intern actively participates in project meetings and supports the Project Managers with ongoing obsolescence project tasks, while managing an independent strategic obsolescence analysis project.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze obsolete aircraft part data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain Obsolescence Team's company intranet website ensuring accuracy and accessibility of content and managing regular updates.
  • Ensure the application of professional standards and company processes are followed in accomplishing project activities.
  • Utilize project management skills to coordinate tasks, track and report progress, and ensure timely follow-up on actions.
  • Always represent De Havilland in a professional and courteous manner in every communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A combination of education and experience in aerospace, project management and/or manufacturing would be considered an asset.

Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence suites is considered and asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other database management systems (DBMS) is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing projects or working in a collaborative project team required.
  • Team oriented and works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Metrics-focused.
  • Critical thinker who can navigate complex, unclear tasks and deliver valuable outputs.

Work Location & Conditions of Employment

  • Candidate will be required to live in Calgary, Alberta.
  • Candidate will be required to work in the office full time in a collaborative, and innovative environment.
