WHAT WILL YOU DO

The General Manager of Commercial Analytics is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Analytics department, ensuring aligned execution of the established business plans, goals and objectives and the performance of the team within the department. The GM works closely with the Director or Vice-President, peer senior leaders, and their team to collaborate, communicate and effectively achieve results.

This role is pivotal in aligning data-driven insights with strategic commercial goals, ensuring informed decisions across all revenue-generating departments. This role will also focus on leveraging data-driven insights to shape and drive the commercial strategy of the department. The General Manager, Commercial Analytics will oversee the development and execution of the analytics strategy, ensure alignment with business objectives, and foster a data-centric culture across the organization. This position will work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee the Commercial Analytics team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage team activities and performance, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Drive the creation and refinement of commercial models to support key areas: Air Service Development, Ground Transportation & Parking, Retail & Hospitality, and Marketing.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive commercial analytics strategy that supports business objectives.
  • Develop actionable insights that inform product launches, sales strategies, and market expansion
  • Establish analytics frameworks to guide commercial decision-making processes.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
  • Oversee the design and execution of advanced data analyses, including customer segmentation, pricing optimization, demand forecasting, and competitive analysis.
  • Analyze parking data and identify trends in all commercial areas to support revenue optimization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards complex models to provide actionable insights for sales and other commercial activities.
  • Create marketing analytics systems to measure campaign performance and ROI.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Director on business planning and forecasting models.
  • Ensure alignment of commercial analytics with broader organizational financial goals.
  • Provide analytical support for developing business cases and assessing new opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by offering insights derived from robust data analysis.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the commercial analytics function.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance analytical tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to implement cutting-edge analytical practices.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data sources, promoting best practices in data governance. Collaborate with IT teams to maintain a robust data infrastructure that supports analytics initiatives.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
  • Post-Secondary Education such as Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role.
  • Proven track record of success in business planning, work planning, operational management and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Operational management and execution/implementation of plans, programs, projects and team activities.
  • Proficient leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and budget management expertise.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Expertise in advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools and platforms Tableau and/or Power BI are preferred.
  • Exceptional business acumen with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality management, and business intelligence best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, manage complex projects, and drive results.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders through data-driven insights and compelling storytelling.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
