The Opportunity

Our Corporate Communications team is looking to add a Communications Business Analyst to join the Communications Operations & Governance group, based in Calgary, AB.

Reporting to the Manager of Communications Operations & Governance, we are seeking an innovative, adaptable and solutions-focused individual who demonstrates prowess and effectiveness with technologies to simplify and optimize work processes, formats and organization with an appreciation for consistency and aesthetics.

What you will do

• Manage incoming company-wide requests for communications support
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and develop easy and optimized processes, formats, visuals, platforms and filing approaches that support the group's day-to-day work and information management
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure group emergency response readiness
• Collaborate and liaise with the broader communications and external relations team to deliver on projects and initiatives
• As part of the Digital on-call roster, monitor social and media commentary, and manage and publish content on our internal and external communication channels - for example, intranet and website news and announcements, company-wide emails and social media posts

Minimum qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field such as business analytics or business technology
• 2 years of demonstrated work experience indicating simplified processes and/or design using Excel, Power BI, SharePoint or other Microsoft Office programs
• Prior work experience, including a co-op or internship experience, that demonstrates technical and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze diverse data sets and multi-task effectively while maintaining a strong focus and attention to detail
• Demonstrated expertise in reaching out to all levels of the team to acquire required information to execute effectively
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in French

• Occasionally be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours
