Overview of Role

WestJet is looking for a Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) Business Analyst to join our team.

The CMTS Business Analyst has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface, supporting process & data analysis focusing on issue resolution for our extensive end user workforce. There is an emphasis on solution delivery, service management, and risk management. This role acts as the conduit between business units, providing highly valued strategic consultative support, and guidance.

This individual will report to the Manager of the eMRO Platform and will play a key role in optimizing CMTS while supporting end users. The incumbent must be highly motivated, exhibit a high standard of excellence, embrace challenges, and drive for results. The ability to work modified work hours, in an agile environment while supporting a 24/7 operation is a must.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to WestJet's Technical Operations 5-year digital road map while driving meaningful impact.

Key Deliverables:

· Resolve immediate issues reported by end user or determine remediation support required for corrective actions.

· Develop solution concepts for assigned CMTS initiatives, analyze, and prepare application roadmaps including recommendations.

· Maintain key business relationships and establish cross functional problem solving between business units, CMTS analysts, outside vendors, and WestJet Information Technology (IT) to develop and implement CMTS initiatives

· Provide knowledge/expertise and facilitation of stakeholder decision making sessions and support arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different business units

· Audit business unit testing of CMTS application(s) and various reporting solutions to ensure the Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) software application and associated processes are optimized for Technical Operations requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Must have 3-5 years experience in business analysis activities.

· A bachelor's degree, college diploma, or equivalent.

· Experienced in business process improvement and cross functional problem solving.

· Experienced in stakeholder management and the development of a business enterprise software application, including application architecture and reporting outputs.

· Knowledge of or desire to learn new business domains such as aircraft maintenance and engineering systems (e.g. Trax).

· Knowledge of process development to support mobile applications for iOS platform.

· Highly motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities successfully and work under tight deadlines.

· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive towards positive outcomes

· Advanced level of competency with back-office productivity tools such as MS Office and process mapping tools

· High degree of interpersonal and communication proficiency, including written, verbal, and presentation skills

· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with multiple cross departmental stakeholders

· Technical writing experience (considered an asset)

· Experienced in SQL, Java, Citrix, object-oriented programing, XML, and .net programming is an asset
