Business Analyst - MPC (Manufacturing, Planning and Control)

Reporting to the Manufacturing Planning & Control Manager the Business Analyst - MPC is responsible to maintain and develop performance metrics for Operations. Pull, manipulate, and analyze system data to support wide range of business initiatives including Production improvements, capacity modeling, and Sales forecasting. Provide recommendations and insight into business process through interrogation of ERP system. Support scheduling activities as well as testing and process development in the ERP system.

This position can be based out of one of our Victoria, BC, Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Operations Metrics ensuring information is accurate and current
  • Support or lead the development of Manufacturing Plans and Master Production Schedules
  • Pull, manipulate, and analyze system data to support various projects
  • Provide support for testing of new processes in ERP system
  • Special projects and other duties as required by management

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering / Eng. Tech.
  • APICS certification and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with statistical analysis in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong MS Office user with exceptional Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting and cost estimating
  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering and manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Business modeling and forecasting
  • Database & programming experience in SQL, M, Python preferred
  • Reporting software experience (Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP utilization and optimization - Visual Manufacturing ERP experience preferred
